The American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compression's, deliver appropriate ventilation's and provide early use of an AED.
In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete and pass a written exam. 2 year certification card provided day of class when you successfully complete course. You must be able to physically perform and demonstrate / practice CPR on manikins.

American Heart Association Book Policy
If you arrive with the current 2016 BLS book, you do not need to purchase a book. If you arrive without a book (or have an outdated version), you must purchase one for $20. These are American Heart Association guidelines and every American Heart Association training course has these same guidelines across the USA. Please note the current version of the BLS class uses the 2015 AHA Guidelines; and the correct book has the 2016 copyright date inside the front cover. If you opt to have the book shipped to you, be sure to add it to your shopping cart. Books will be shipped USPS priority mail within 2 business days.
CBA Safety Training Center does not offer refunds once your registration is complete. If you have an emergency that makes you unable to attend the course, you must contact the Training Center 48 hours prior to the start time of the class. The Training Center Staff will move you to the next available course or issue a course credit. Course credits can only be applied to the same type of course, cannot be used by another person and must be used within 90 days of the missed course. Once a credit is applied, the student must attend that course – a credited course will not be refunded or credited a second time.
